OpotheBoat is a Ghanaian-American Visionary, Director, Poet, and all-around Creative born, raised, and based in Newark, New Jersey. Social/cultural impact and spiritual actualization are paramount in Opo’s mission. OpotheBoat Is looking for host venues for his “Wait For Me” Tour, a theatrical journey centered around Black Love and Strife, highlighting his debut album NWU.PFM along with his Short film Apple Cider: A Parable on Black Love. After many years of experience performing with marching and jazz bands infront of thousands of audience members, he is ready to lead the next generation to the New Wave of culture.

Theatrical Rap- There are messages in the media intended to sow harm. Opo’s mission was to stop them. The weekend of December 21st, 2020, Challenging these forces, OpotheBoat survived a car crash and an angry mob after a mission into The Unknown. Returning home to Newark NJ, this album follows Opo’s journey to find his people after returning to the Brick City, unaware of the reach of his opponent.

Spiritual Rap- Lost in the toxic waters of the media, Opo is once again at death’s door. Feeling defeated once again goes for one final escape- a return to self. Dissolving any need to fit in, Opo focuses his frustration and passion towards shining light on his daily support systems, projecting growth towards a world he wants to see.
Apple Cider: A Parable on Black Love, in a Familial Context
Short Film- As a young trio tries to reconnect as a family, they struggle to connect with one another as their shared family demons continue to possess the situation at hand. The film is also accompanied by a non-diagetic 3 song EP, appropriately titled “Apple Cider EP”, soon to be rereleased on all platforms.
